With the opening of the state borders there will inevitably be cases of Covid-19 infection in our community at some stage.

We, as both health professionals and members of this community, have been very encouraged with the high levels of vaccination and the determination of local residents to both protect themselves and their community.

Of 13,395 residents eligible for a vaccine, 94.4 % have received at least one shot and 84.2 % have received a second.

The Victor Medical Centre has administered a combined total (first, second and third doses) of 12,136 vaccinations. You can be assured that Victor Medical Centre is doing all that we can to continue to provide safe health care to our patients.

To assist in maintaining a safe environment, we aim to keep numbers to a minimum in the clinic and ask that where possible only the patient attends for appointments.

Given the high-risk environment and vulnerability of some of our patients, we ask that you continue to wear a mask regardless of any exemption.

Please do not attend the clinic if you have any symptoms of a virus.

We can utilise telephone/video appointments where appropriate.

Victor Medical Centre will continue to see those that have cough/viral symptoms and need a face-to-face appointment in our Respiratory Clinic, provided they have a negative Covid swab, as we have been doing for over 18 months now.

Victor Medical Centre is working hard to continue to provide a comprehensive medical service to the South Coast Community but we need you to assist us in this.

As long as our staff remain well we can continue to provide this essential health care at Victor Medical Centre, in addition to inpatient services at Victor Harbor Private hospital, maternity and anaesthetic services at South Coast District Hospital and to local nursing homes.

As things continue to evolve we will continue to adapt accordingly.
Thank you for your assistance at this time of change and adjustment.
